Wansview Cloud Privacy Policy

How Wansview Cloud collects, uses, and protects your personal data

2026/02/23

Shenzhen Wansview Technology Co., Ltd ("we", "us", "our" or "Wansview") is committed to safeguarding users of its websites, apps, products, and services. Information is collected, transferred, processed, stored, and disclosed in accordance with this policy. By accessing or using Wansview Services, you consent to these practices.

1. Information Collection

1.1 General

Browsing without registration requires no personal data submission. Account registration requires a username, email address, and password. We automatically receive server log information including IP address, browser type and language, referral/exit pages, device type, platform, clicks, landing pages, cookies, page viewing patterns, time spent, and timestamps.

1.2 Information You Provide

(a) Registration and Login

Account creation may require your email address, phone number, camera serial number, username, and password. If you register via a third-party site (e.g., Facebook), we request verification credentials and use them to retrieve relevant information from those services. You are responsible for keeping your account information current, complete, and accurate.

(b) Product Setup

Camera products require association with your account along with Wi-Fi network details. The Wansview App transmits this information via QR code to the product for network connection. Wi-Fi credentials are saved locally on your device and are not transmitted to Wansview servers.

(c) Correspondence

Personal communications related to service use may be retained in your user profile.

(d) Content You Share with Others

You may share videos and photos with third parties and social networking sites such as Facebook and WeChat.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

We collect diagnostic logs, IP addresses, browser information, platform details, clicks, landing pages, cookies, page requests, viewing patterns, time spent, app actions, mobile device information (OS, network), and timestamps. This is done to better understand our customers and improve our services. We will NOT collect information unrelated to the use of Wansview services.

(a) Video Transmission

Point-to-point direct connection is the primary video transmission method. Under unreliable network conditions, videos may relay through our servers with secure encryption. Servers function solely as relay agents and do not store transmitted video content.

(b) Activity Alert Video / Picture

This is an optional feature that is off by default and must be manually activated. When enabled, you may transmit encrypted videos (up to 10 seconds) and pictures to our servers upon camera activity detection. These are automatically deleted regularly, typically within seven days.

(c) Cookies

Small text files stored on your device track activities and remember returning users. Some cookies persist until manually deleted; session cookies expire upon browser closure. You may configure your browser to reject cookies while retaining service access.

(d) Pixels (Web Beacons / JavaScript)

Tiny graphics with unique identifiers track webpage access. Unlike cookies, pixels are embedded invisibly in pages or HTML emails. Third-party analytics providers use pixel data to improve services.

(e) Video / Picture Content

Wansview generally does not view, monitor, or access your video or picture content, except with your explicit permission for technical support purposes.

1.4 Information from Other Sources

With your permission, we may obtain personal and non-personal information from business partners, social sites, and third parties. For example, if you log in via Facebook, we may receive your username, first name, last name, and profile picture based on your privacy settings on that platform.

2. Use of Information

2.1 General

We use personal information to manage accounts, operate and improve services, communicate with you, provide product/service information, conduct marketing, perform research, resolve disputes, collect fees, detect fraud, assist law enforcement, and enforce our policies.

2.2 Email Communications

We send account and service-related emails, responses to inquiries, marketing emails, surveys, and newsletters. Service-related messages are non-optional. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any message, but will continue to receive service-related emails.

2.3 Non-Identifying Information

Non-identifying information may be used for any lawful purpose including trend analysis, research, administration, and business improvement.

2.4 Data Retention

We retain information as legally required or permitted. If you cancel your account or your account is otherwise terminated, we may—but are not obligated to—delete your information. You may manually delete account information within the app to initiate system purging.

2.5 International Data Transfers

We may transfer your personal information to affiliates and third-party service providers located outside your jurisdiction, in compliance with applicable laws and appropriate security safeguards. This includes cloud services, communications providers, social media platforms, and technology vendors.

Wansview operates globally from headquarters in China. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), data shared with third parties outside the EEA is governed by EU standard contractual clauses or other GDPR-approved safeguards. Transfers to the United States for processing or backup may occur. We remain committed to protecting your privacy regardless of where data is processed.

3. Information Sharing

3.1 General

We do not sell or rent your personal information for marketing purposes. Information may be disclosed to affiliated entities, agents, and service providers. Non-identifying information may be shared with third parties for lawful purposes. Affiliated entities are required to use information in accordance with this policy or an equally restrictive agreement.

3.2 Legal Requirements

Personal information may be disclosed as legally required: to protect our rights, to government regulators, law enforcement, in judicial proceedings, under court orders or subpoenas, and to respond to physical threats.

3.3 Business Transitions

In the event of bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, sale, or reorganization, personal information may be disclosed to prospective or actual purchasers.

3.4 Camera Sharing

Authorized third-party access to your camera grants video recording permissions until you remove them from your account. We do not control third-party actions or prevent them from sharing video content.

3.5 Social Sites

If you create an account or use certain services via Facebook credentials, information and videos may be shared with social platforms. Shared information is governed by the respective social platform's privacy policy.

3.6 Disclaimer

We cannot guarantee that your personal information will not be disclosed outside the descriptions in this policy. Risks include government disclosure requirements, unlawful interception, user misuse, and inherent insecurity of internet transmission.

4. Third-Party Providers

4.1 General

Third parties assist in operating and improving our services. Information shared with them is governed by this policy and used solely to operate or improve our business or services. We do not control third-party information collection practices and are not responsible for them.

4.2 Google Analytics

Google collects usage information and user demographics through cookies and pixels, including entry/exit pages, viewing time, browser, operating system, and IP address. This allows recognition across sites and enables sharing of demographic, interest, device, and geographic data. Information we receive from Google is not linked to personal identifiers.

5. Online Tracking and Your Choices

"Do Not Track" browser settings may not affect automatically collected information via cookies, pixels, and other tracking technologies. You may manage browser settings to delete and disable cookies and tracking tools, though effectiveness varies. Note that not all tracking technologies are browser-controllable, your browser fingerprint may still be recognizable, settings may not persist across sessions, and signals cannot control tracking on other websites.

6. Information Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously and have implemented safeguard mechanisms. However, no transmission of data over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You provide information at your own risk.

7. Children

Our services are intended for a general audience and are not directed toward children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided personal information without parental consent, we will remove it and terminate the associated account. Please contact us if you have concerns.

8. Accessing and Updating Your Information

You may cancel your account or update your personal information by logging into the Wansview App. If you are unwilling to have your information accessed or stored, please do not register.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this policy periodically. We encourage you to check this page regularly for the latest version.
